When the Stars Shined Bright, and all of XIMB was Alight…!
The Xpressions Steering Committee of XIMB, hosts XPRESSIONS, the annual flagship event of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, every year. The fest is the culmination of more than three months of planning, with students coming together to produce a heady mix of business, cultural, and social events. Since its inception, the committee aims to organize Xpressions in a way that provides students and corporates across various domains, a plethora of opportunities to think outside the box, broaden their horizons, and achieve success in all of their endeavours.
Xpressions Steering Committee (XSteC) in collaboration with the Student Executive Council, takes pride in organizing Xpressions, The Annual Management and Cultural Festival of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, one of the largest festivals of eastern India.
This year Xpressions’21 was conducted on 19th and 20th February and saw a zealous participation from 450+ reputed institutions across India and 25+ corporate houses. The fest was packed with 11 business events, 9 stage events and 4 social events, which were conducted over D2C and Zoom platforms. With the support of 56 renowned sponsors, a total prize money of worth 10L+ INR were awarded to all winners across different events along with goodies baskets from different sponsors. During the festival, Cultural Nights were organized over Zoom which were graced by Mr. Rakesh Tiwari, a Hindi Spoken Word Artist and Mr. Hrithik Gupta, a singer and voice over artist. The festival concluded with Xathon’21 – a Pan India Marathon Event with a theme of “Walking for Disability Rights”. 459 participants took part in the marathon. All participants and winners received exciting gift coupons and goodies worth 1L+ INR.
To keep the spirit of the fest alive, Xtraordinaire was conducted as a prelude to Xpressions’21 in collaboration with Mr. Satyabrat Mohapatra, an Indian Stand-up comedian and Mr. Anirban Pal, a Beatboxer and multi-talented DJ, which saw engagement from the students of XIMB, participating colleges and faculties.
XSteC also organized various other events in collaboration with the Student Executive Council such as Qaafila 2.0, conducted over Zoom, featuring stand-up comedian Mr. Nishant Suri and Vocal artist, Mr. Shaad. The evening witnessed a strength of 500+ audience including students and faculty members of Xavier Institute of Management.
Throughout the year, XSteC organized various events in collaboration with the Student Executive Council which aimed to give one of a kind experience, rejuvenating and refreshing the participants. Yet again, it has promised to be a perfect blend of ideas, innovation, and enthrallment.
