Student Residential Facilities

HOSTELS

Hostel facilities at XIMB, which are provided for students of the Residential Programs, consist of the seven hostel blocks with more than 600 rooms in total. Each hostel is equipped with facilities such as television, washing machines, water filters, geysers etc. for the convenience of the students. All hostel rooms have round-the-clock internet access via Wi-Fi and LAN connections linking them to the campus-wide internet and intranet services. The campus has multiple food vendors who cater to the needs of the students from morning to late night.

Fr. Gnanarethinam Gents’ Residence (GR-I)

Fr. Gnanarethinam Gents’ Residence (GR-I): The first Hostel block to be built on the campus, this building is a sprawling two-storey structure constructed in 1987. GR-I has close to 200 rooms in all single-occupancy setup with four separate blocks. This building also houses one Student Mess, the Kitchen, and the Convenience Store. GR-I has a multipurpose hall and multiple open spaces for student functions and recreational activities. Indoor sporting facilities are also available inside GR-I.

Russi Mody Hall (RMH) and Mother Teresa Ladies’ Residence (MTR)

Russi Mody Hall (RMH): The first Ladies’ Hostel block to be built, it is a two-storey structure constructed in 1987. It has 60 rooms in both double and single-occupancy setups. A multipurpose hall is also situated inside RMH for use by the students.

 

Mother Teresa Ladies’ Residence (MTR): The New Ladies Hostel was built in 2009 to accommodate an increasing number of female students across the programs. It is a five-storey building, which provides accommodation in 100+ single-occupancy rooms. A multipurpose hall containing recreation and indoor sporting facilities is also situated inside MTR.

CENDERET

CENDERET Gents’ Residence: This building is a two-storey structure constructed in 1994 and provides accommodation in 30+ double-occupancy rooms. The residence has one multipurpose hall for recreational activities along with a Study Hall which used for academic purposes.  Indoor sporting facilities is also situated in CENDERET. The building also has a canteen providing snacks services till late night.

Fr. Bogaert Gents’ Residence (GR-II)

Fr. Bogaert Gents’ Residence (GR-II): It is the newly constructed hostel, built in 2009, to accommodate an increasing number of male students across the programs. It is a four-storey building that provides accommodation in 100 single occupancy rooms. A multipurpose hall containing recreation and indoor sporting facilities is also situated inside GR-II. The building also houses a Student Mess and Kitchen.

STUDIO APARTMENT

Studio Apartments: This is the newest of all hostels on the campus. A massive five-storey building, it provides accommodation in 100+ double occupancy rooms. It houses both male and female students in separate floors of the building. It has a multipurpose hall for student activities.

EMBA Hostel

EMBA Hostel: This building is a two-storey structure constructed in 1987. It has close to 50 single-occupancy rooms with two separate blocks. This hostel was constructed to accommodate the students of Executive MBA program.
