ATHLOS, the annual sports event of XIMB was conducted from 18th to 20th October 2019. This event garnered huge participation from various colleges and universities namely XLRI Jamshedpur; IIFT Kolkata; IMI Bhubaneswar; VJSOM, IIT Kharagpur; IIM Sambalpur; Xavier University Bhubaneswar(XUB), XIMB Alumni team and the home team (Team XIMB). The inauguration ceremony took place on 18th October and the honorary chief guests for the same were Mr. Deep Mukherjee (Head of Sports Development & Partnerships, Star TV Network; Member, CIGEPS, UNESCO; CEO, CII National Committee – Sports) and by members of the Odisha Football Club(Odisha FC) – Mr. Ashish Shah (CEO); Mr. Rohan Sharma (Owner) and Mr. Josep Gombau(Head Coach). The moderator for the event was our respected faculty Prof. Arijit Mitra (Specialising in operations and having an acumen in writing sports articles). The event was concluded on 20th October 2019 with the closing ceremony wherein, the guests of honor – Fr. V. Arockia Das, SJ, and Prof. Arun Kumar Paul – felicitated the winners and runners-up of various events.
