The PGDM Batch of 1995-97 had their batch reunion in Goa. Their theme was Picking the pieces after 18 years. 35 of them met and had a great time.
AlokBansal brought back cathartic memories of GDs during placement when he appointed himself as the 'moderator' to the ‘discussions’. During the next two nights, over daru sessions they picked up the pieces of 18 long years. The batch reminisced about the very first X-pressions and how it grown into a massive 'X-travaganza' now. In some cases (like Banamitra), people spoke more with other batch mates in two days than they had done in two yrs at XIM. The conversations provided a window into the personal journeys of the batch mates.
They parted with promises to meet next year…

Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, one of the premier Business Schools in India, hosted the annual alumni meet called “Sanidhya”, in Bhubaneswar on Sunday the 4th October 2015. The event was jointly organized by the Institute and the Bhubaneswar Chapter of XIMB Alumni Association. Ever since the Institute was established in the year 1987, it has produced over 7,000 alumni, who are making their mark in the corporate as well as in the social sector all over the world.
The Annual General Body Meeting of XIMB Alumni Association, a body registered at the national level, was held during Sanidhya, which attracted a large number of alumni. Fr. Paul Fernandes, S.J., Director, XIMB and Fr. Antony Uvary, S.J. Associate Director XIMB led the discussions and Professor LathaRavindran, Alumni Coordinator, XIMB, presented annual activity report of the Association. This was followed by a presentation by Bhubaneswar Chapter and an open house interaction with the alumni focusing on academic and other meaningful collaborations between the alumni and their alma mater. The students of the Alumni Committee showcased their activities through a video presentation.
Dr. Adyasha Das, Faculty, Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management, Bhubaneswar and alumnus, Batch 1992-94, enthralled the audience to one of her best musical performances. She is an eminent classical and a contemporary singer and is well known in Odisha music circles.
The highlight of the event was “An evening with Rajat Kapoor”, in which, Rajat Kapoor, a very renowned, Bollywood Actor, Director, Producer and Writer of Bheja Fry, Corporate and Drishyam fame, interacted with the alumni, faculty and students of the Institute.
The event concluded with a cocktail and dinner during when an informal interaction took place among the students and faculty of the Institute with the alumni.
X-Post – the Alumni Newsletter happens to be one of the most favorites among the alumni. The aim of the Newsletter is to keep the XIMB fraternity more widely interested in the development and changes happening in and out of the campus. We have received tremendous feedback on the X-Post from our alumni all over the world. The July – August – September issue is out.
The fifth issue of the alumni magazine, Unnayan will be released during the Bhubaneswar Sanidhya. It is an attempt to relive the journey of XIMB by means of the events and traditions of our Alma Mater. The magazine contains articles from alumni, faculty and current students. This is the fifth consecutive year in which Unnayan has been published.
The XIMB Alumni Association Bhubaneswar Chapter has been very active and has been meeting regularly. The Executive Body of the Bhubaneswar Chapter has worked tirelessly to draw up the MoA and the same is submitted for registration. They have taken initiatives to ensure that XIMB Alumni in Bhubaneswar connects and stays engaged with each other as well as with XIMB.
Xavier Institute of Management has signed a MoU with Fourth Ambit Technologies Private Limited for Alumni Portal and Services. With this we will be able to strengthen our alumni database.
